5.3 block and heads value? local junk yard has a 99 sierra z71 5.3 iron block and aluminum heads for sale..no intake or TB, for 119.95, is this a fair price for a foundation to start a buildup..i'm thinking it is provided the blocks not cracked and heads aren't ruined...what's this stuff go for usually around you guys...

I paid $225 for a complete engine with 7000 miles and a broken rod and piston. I'm not sure if your talking shortblock, but if so that price sounds great. Even if it's just the block and heads, you could get $200 or so out of the heads selling them on craigslist or something. I'd say go for it.
