Default 2000 Camaro SS - 6 speed *pics inside*

Found a 2000 Camaro SS. Its a 6-speed. 98k miles. Z06 wheels. Leather Interior, T-Tops. Long tube headers. Thats all thats listed but it looks a little lower then stock height.

Guys asking $6999.00 obo. Sounds like a great deal for such a nice car. Looked up the VIN and its a real SS. Lemme know what you think

Did you drive it or find out who the prior owner was yet? Once you see it and drive it, only then will you know. No need to get too excited if the car needs major items. Afterall it does have nearly 100k miles on it. Sometimes these well cared for LS1 beauts go to 200k but other times they were ready for 'cash for clunkers' at 75,000 miles. What if the prior owner was a 16 year old kid that beat the out of it? Do your homework so you don't end up with a money pit. Hope it works out for you but remember, "If the price seems too good to be true....."

Well so far I drove 2 ls1 cars. The first was a fake 2000 formula ws6. grinding in 1st gear shifter was popping out of gear in 2 and 4. So naturally it would need a trans overhaul almost immediatly. Otherwise the car was really nice. 108k miles slp lid and cat back. Lowest he would go was 6000 which is way too much for a formula that needs trans work. Next I drove the SS listed above and everything fealt great engine ran fine with the typical cold start piston slap. 6 speed trans shifted nice and smooth . Clutch grabbed fine and fealt like it had plenty of life left. Car was clean inside and out and is a true SS. Price on that is 6999 and he said he would move on the number a little bit. I'm a certified GM mechanic and the SS is mechanically sound and clean by my knowledge and looks to be a good buy.

Being a mechanic really helps. You have an edge over most of us. If it passed your test, has a clear title, then go for it if the price is agreeable to what you want.

damn thats a great deal! I paid $8,xxx for mine last year with pretty much that same mileage but stock.
If thats the combo you want, clean title, pass inspections, straight body, BUY IT! GL
