First off, thank you for serving

If you get the opportunity, read this section thoroughly for similar heavily modded cars that are not being sold for decent money. There are quite a few that sound really nice and buyers aren't touching them for what they truly are worth. The mods are bringing next to nothing. It used to be you would get 25%-33% of your mods money back but that seems to be too optimistic right now. There are exceptions, as in everything, but worth vs real world selling prices seem to be 'light years' apart. It seems a shame to sell these cars to 'bottom feeders' looking for steals but that's what it has become in these economic times if you have to sell. Cash is very tight, especially in the younger buyer's market, which would be the most likely segment interested in a car such as yours. Hopefully things will be looking on the brighter side when you get back.

I know its been a buyers market for years and I'm lucky that I'm not in a position where I HAVE to sell. I am just thinking of selling to look for something else a little less modified since i'm not as young as I used to be and I don't race nearly as much. I don't mind keeping the car and spending a few thousand more on it to give it a bulletproof drivetrain and make it a real track performer as well as street machine. All I'm looking for in here is an idea of what someone would expect to see a car like this sell for.

Im really curious on this as well....I have the same exact build on my ss.... I would say around 18,000 someone might bite, If I dont get at least that much for mine, I wont sell it...no plans on selling right now anyway.

I would gladly take 18k right now. I am thinking it won't bring that much with the economy still in a rut.

You are quite correct unless you get very lucky.

I don't really have a way to get it to Ohio right now. I do have a friend at home that can handle the sell for me. The title is at my house. I have thought about the price a lot and I think i've settled on $16,500. The economy won't let me sell it for nearly what i've invested in it.

If you're seriously interested in the car and want to purchase it, we'll find a way to work something out.

I say start at $15k and take first best offer above $13k. You might not have to sell it but soon you will get tired of $13k worth of metal sitting in garage that you never use. Nice car, if I was looking for what you have I would give $15k for it but others seem to be cheaper than me.

It can sit in my garage for the duration of my life if all I can get is 13K. There is over 25K invested in this car. I am not that tired of it. If it stays on the market for over 6 months, then I might drop the price $500, but thats it. I'm not giving it away.
