ok guys so a friend of mine is selling his 98 trans am ws6 ram air good condition some small scratches nothing big interior in really good condition the engine is really strong no noises or anything unusual c5 17 and 18 in front wheels good tires 140000 miles on engine tranny has been rebuild dont know how long a go his selling it for 4000 is it worth it

Lots of ??? but $4,000 sounds OK off-hand if the motor seems strong and you need transportation. Quite a few owners have posted about getting 200k miles. The problem with cars with that mileage is the endless repair bill as everything tends to start breaking or failing just due to age and that mileage. You don't need a 'money pit' of a car as it will totally destroy the ownership experience. So much depends on prior ownership and maintenance. Remember that you will need to sell one day and you don't need $7,000 invested in a car that will have even more mileage and more issues. You could lose the entire amount if the car dies. As I said, so many ???
