Here's a fun one: 300K mile Z28, what's it worth? Ok, I have a 98 Z28 stock except Vigilante 3600 stall and mail order tune.
Runs 13.0 on street tires.
Mileage is at 287,000 (not a typo).
Runs fine, my daily driver (am currrently driving it 150 miles per day to/from work and have been for the last 6 years or so), rear has had whine for last 100k, TC not locking because of trans bore wear problem, leaks oil from rear main, no major body damage but paint chipped up all over the nose. Has T-Tops, everything works including A/C. No exhaust smoke except some black smoke on a sudden WOT that started since I re-plumbed the PCV. All glass is great, cloth interior that's fair, no large tears. Does not wear tires, I align at least every year (lifetime alignment). In the last 100k or so it's had a new waterpump, fuel pump, and alternator. Airbags are original and good. Gets 20MPG even with unlocked converter.
Engine has never been "opened", factory seal even on valve covers. Trans only has 150k or so on it (it's funny to say that, ONLY 150k).
So, what's it worth?
I'd be interested in hearing outright sale value as well as parting out value (if any).
