Default Ls1 block value

Sorry if this is the wrong place. Does anyone know what a used ls1 block should go for?

Lol, yeah I guess. I never heard knocking but I could hear something. With it apart I still can't tell what's wrong.

Thanks for the heads up guys that seems really cheap... What are they worth in scrap?

No. Cast aluminum is sold as dirty white non ferrous. Right now it's going for about .45/lb. Which amounts to 45 bucks for the block. The crank and rods you could get maybe 10 in scrap, and last time I took cast aluminum pistons, I got .07 each for them...

Take a hammer and lightly tap on the rod caps, If the bearing spun it will sound hollow or differant than the others. Take that cap off and see what the damage is.

Thank you. I haven't pulled anything apart yet just because I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't find any metal anywhere and she was still running strong when I tore it down.

I would take it apart and see the damage before you make any decisions on what to do... Sell or rebuild.

I had time constraints and just ordered a replacement from TMS. I have several quotes on a rebuild and it was going to take much longer than the 10 days it takes TMS to deliver so I went that route.
