2005 GTO black/red with SAP package. M6, ~80k miles, kooks long tubes, kooks catted mids, aftermarket radio, VMR wheels new tires, looks amazing has no issues.... Owner has full carfax and is second owner.

This one really should be in the same price neighborhood as the other '05 we talked about. The mods are going to make the car more difficult to sell for the current owner, so that will work in your favor, as long as you like the mods. The negotiations will be in your favor unless his asking price is too high to start with. Good luck!

honestly this car i kinda like, he wants too much tho. 16,500. beautiful car in beautiful shape looks like it was kept by an OCD individual. The mods are probably EXACTLY as i would mod the car. so i like those. Owner feels the SAP package makes it worth more but i cant find anything that really shows that it would help... the 04-06 GTO is not a collectable and at 80k miles collect-ability is out the window. im not a collector anyhow im a driver i want a toy not a shelf peice.

Your thinking is 100% accurate. Throw an offer at him in your comfort zone. He'll think about it, especially with the car not selling anytime soon at his price. If he is in denial, oh well, he can keep the car.

To me, lowballing is offering $7,000 for a real $14,000 car. If you offered $12,000 for a $16,000 car it might be too low for the seller but not insulting, and actually opens up the door for negotiations. You might agree on halfway at $14,000.
