1996 Formula forged with nitrous
Just curious what you guys thought. I have seen a few sell for 12-14k with less mods and less reliability. Was hoping for that mark but also see some for much less.
I am putting my LT1 up for sale because there is not much left I can really do with this one. I am selling my 1996 Silver Formula. Below is a summary, pictures and the details of all the mods at the bottom. Email inquiries to elynchttu@gmail.com This is a race car that has consistently been down the track for years. Everything that was weak has been replaced with strong, durable drag race parts. Lots of cars I see for sale are untested, but not this car. Runs 12.1@115-116 without nitrous, 11.4@121 on nitrous. Obviously with a 121 trap speed it should be in the 10s, but I can't drive I guess. This comes with slicks and street tires. Street tires are all brand new with less than 100 miles on them. Rears are drag radials and fronts are stock style (can give you model numbers if you ask). It is set up to drag race for years to come and make you a happy drag racer. You can even turn the nitrous up!!
Current price: $9,000.
ENGINE:
383 LT1 (4-bolt splayed main block) (engine rebuilt ~5k miles ago)
Forged Wiseco -5.5cc Forged pistons
Eagle 4340 Forged crank
Eagle 4340 Forged H-Beam rods ~11.25:1 compression ratio
ALL seals/bearings replaced on engine rebuild
Lloyd Elliot LE1 ported heads and LE2 custom cam (230/230/107 LSA, ~600 lift)
New OEM lifters
1.6 Comp Cam Pro Mag roller rockers
Professionally installed throttle body plate nitrous setup good for up to 200 shot
58mm BBK TB
electric water pump
Pace Setter longtubes, offroad y-pipe with muffler
Moe Baily Dynotune with videos and charts
removed all excess equipment (EGR, AIR, etc)
FUEL:
Walbro 255 lph with racetronix wiring harness for increased amperage and flow
42# Lucas injectors
SUSPENSION/DRIVETRAIN:
Moser 12 bolt 4.10 rear end with a spool
Transmission rebuilt 20k miles ago and still holds strong
Kevlar SPEC Stage 2 clutch with transmission rebuild
tubular BMR SFCs (weld-in)
tubular BMR LCAs
tubular torque arm (dont remember which brand, maybe BBK?)
air bag in passenger rear spring for wheel hop
Polyurethane transmission mount
No front or rear sway bars
ALL 4 tires brand new. Stock style 275/40/17s up front, 275/35/17 Nitto NT05Rs in the rear, and 11.5x15s Hoosier QTP's on some salad shooter rims that I use at the track (maybe 4 trips to track with them, still plenty of rubber)
NITROUS/IGNITION:
MSD6AL setup pulling timing for nitrous
Nitrous Outlet professionally installed all items
Nitrous Outlet progressive controller (WOT switch, Window switch, gear lockout, progressive opening of solenoids, electronic readout, etc)
2-step setup with button on shifter (RPM set on MSD6AL where you want to set your 2-step at)
NGK TR6 plugs installed with updated plug wires
New optima red top battery
OBD1 conversion on PCM for easy tunercat tuning
Dynotuned without nitrous 392 rwhp/ 407 rwtq, on 100 shot of nitrous 500 rwhp/636 rwtq

There's one in my area that has LE2's makes 430 rwhp and has everything you have and more. He has had it for 7k for 6 months now and can't get anyone to buy it. I think 12k is still too high, I understand you have spent that, but its not there.

Torque monster!! Awesome car man but I have to agree the price is way too high. Theres a guy in my area selling a beautiful 02 Camaro with a turbo LS2 (600+rwhp), on coilovers and and huge list of other stuff like yours and he's letting it go for only 10k. I think his is worth much more (he had it at 12k not too long ago and I think 16k a few months back but now he wants a quick sale) and yours is probably worth a solid 10k as well imo but unfortunately its not what people are realistically willing to pay.
