1997 corvette
Ok, have a 1997 silver 6-speed Corvette for sale near me. I have seen it but have not driven it. 123,000 miles, new tires, new fuel sending unit.
Exterior, some minor scratches, had original wheels powder coated black but it doesn't look to good.
Interior, driver seat needs to be redone , everything works.
$12,500 or best offer...what do you guys think?

vette people like to not care what KBB says. I wish my ego was large enough to do the same.
Id say if you like it, go with what you are comfortable paying. In the long run a ls1 vette isnt going to depreciate to much more over time. In another 5 years you could get 7-8 for it probably. Personally I would be around the 10,5 area

just a little side story when i sold my '98 C5. The '97 and early 98's have a weird rear mounted ABS setup which has no replacement(aftermarket or new) and are prone to going junk due to the location. My car had heads/cam/bolt ons/ new clutch and hydraulics/new tires and other stuff. I sold it for $11,500 and they demand more $ in MN that southern states due to the weather and they are more uncommon than in alot of other parts of the country it seems. Mine had 117k when i sold it. Car had minor flaws in the paint and the interior was pretty damn good. With that one being a '97 and the oldest of the C5's i'd say he will be lucky to get more than $9.5k for it. I would offer $9.5k and see if he takes it. The C5's are great cars, pretty damn reliable and not as expensive to fix and mod as people say. Some C5 specific stuff can cost a little extra but other than that they aren't bad. Loved my Vette and still miss it to this day...

Sorry for not posting for so long. I didn't know where my thread went. Great advise from everyone!
I will be looking at the 97 vette soon. I stumbled into a 2001 Ram air trans am with 115,000 miles on it. 6-speed magnaflow exhaust, upgraded stereo, looks clean inside and out from the pictures. I will checking it out it Saturday. Asking $9500.
