Stock Black/black 99 WS6 M6 60k miles
Well? My buddy is looking to potentially sell his 99 WS6. Its a loaded black car withy black leather interior and 61,000 miles. Clean title, clean paint, clean interior. Freshly rebuilt T56, corsa catback and SLP lid. All stock parts as well. Always well maintained and has new tires. Whats it worth as summer approaches here in the northeast?

The mileage sure is right, and if the car is in truly good condition he should have no problem getting $8,000 after negotiations, hopefully a bit more in the northeast I would think. Ask somewhere in the $9,000+ range in the ad. $10,000 would be too high IMO.

If that T56 was a quality rebuild that's worth extra bucks over a more tired 6 speed. If I only had to pay an extra $500-$1,500 for a rebuilt T56 vs. one that wasn't with 61,000 miles I'd take the rebuild. Sure beats buying the car and having to dump $3K+ into a trans. The other question is how beat on the motor was. But with the trans probably removed from the "what needs to be done" equation, that sounds like a good car for someone. No shortage of 100,000 mile cars out there. But quality mid-mile cars (40k to 60K) aren't all that plentiful. Problem is, most owners price them like they are 30K mile cars.

If anything we should be keeping the value of these cars high not 8k!!!!!!!

We wish but real world sales dictate otherwise. No one will call if you put an asking price of $13k. That's just making the seller too optimistic. Think about it. Who really will lay out that kind of cash for that car? Not you ( I hope not), and certainly not me. You may not like price guide values but they are very real and many people use them. Thinking otherwise is being in denial.
