Default '00 WS6 with 138k for 17 grand?

I've been going through a ton of ads for these cars in the last few months and haven't seen anything this expensive for the miles. Does this asking price seem close to you? Am I missing something? I understand it has a lot of aftermarket parts on it but it sounds like he's trying to recoup all of his money into it almost.

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/4448057103.html

2000 TRANS AM WS6

138,443 miles, paint, body, and interior are all in very good condition, everything electrical and mechanical work. I have receipts for everything installed along with a spread sheet showing date of purchase and mileage. The spread sheet also shows the date, mileage, item installed, supplier, notes/part numbers of every part installed on the car.

Drive Train Parts New:
New LS1 crate motor furnished and installed by Dow Lewis Motors a GM dealer the motor has less than 2,500 miles on it, the computer has been retuned (320HP-345HP) to redline @ 6,400 and it pulls hard all the way to redline. New GM flywheel with a Monster stage 3 ceramic clutch (all new bolts for both) Tick Performance clutch master cylinder, Tick Performance speed Bleeder, GM slave cylinder and throw out bearing, GM pilot bearing. B&M shifter for the original T56 6speed transmission connected to an Inland Empire Driveline 3-1/2" aluminum racing drive shaft (900HP) with 1350 universal joints which drives a Strange Engineering Dana 60 rear end assembly. 4:10 gear ratio, Detroit Locker assembly, 35 spline axles, and new parking break assemblies.

Exhaust Parts New:
PaceSetter Shorty Headers, MagnaFlow low restriction Catalytic Converters, Hooker Headers 3" exhaust system.

Suspension Parts New:
UMI Performance Sub Frame Connectors, UMI Performance Tailing Arms, UMI Performance Adjustable Torque Arm, UMI Performance Adjustable Pan Hard Bar, UMI Performance Adjustable 1-1/4" Drag Racing Rear Sway Bar, UMI Performance Shock Tower Brace, QA1 18 Way Adjustable Rear Shocks, QA1 18 Way Adjustable Front Shocks, QA1 Front Drag Racing Springs

Added Features for Drag Racing:
SLP Performance line lock, MSD 2-step launch controller with B&M micro switch, Auto Meter shift light / tachometer.

Items that go with the car:
GM 3 book series repair manuals for 2000 Camaro/Firebird, set of stock rims with M/T ET Street LT 26x11.50-17 Drag tires with grade 8 rim screws.

This car is 100% street and smog legal the goal was to see how much the car could be improved from stock in the ¼ mile. Started out at 13.55 @ 104.9 with a 60' time of 2.38 and a launch RPM of 1700. Now 13.11 @ 105.94 with a 60' time of 1.93 and a launch RPM of 4,400. I have a spread sheet with all the runs and a spread sheet with all cost. At this time my current investment in this car is $20,566.70.

He is out of his mind. There isn't even anything really done to the car performance wise besides the new motor, I wouldn't even consider a car with miles like that if it was mint and pro-charged. 13.1 is a joke for that amount of money invested, my Camaro was running 13.25's with a catback, lid, and intake. You don't ever get your money back with mods, price of playing the game.

X2. I've posted one of my old Camaros awhile back with a higher price then normal just so no one can call to acquire about it cause I really didn't want to sell it.

Even then, it's shameful to take that kind of $$ from a hard working individual. Must be a used car salesman.

I'm just looking at all the other performance cars for sale for 17k that you could pick up compared to this vehicle.. for example 03 cobra, higher mileage C5 Z06, clean C5, Sti, etc.

Nice comparison of listing in the same area (sacramento) and same model.
An 02 WS6 40k miles super clean with bolt ons and clean title posted for 14k $. Yep there's definitely a discrepancy going on here.

For $17K you could buy an original mint 10K-15K mile 2000 WS6 or this guy's car with a mixture of old and new parts. Tough decision I know.
