2000 Ram Air
Ok, tomorrow I am looking at a Pewter 2000 Ram Air T/A with 72,000 on it. 6-speed, just about all options except Traction control. New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing.
It was on E-bay for 11,500 but didn't sell. It is now on craigslist for 10,800. He say bring cash, make an offer.
From the pictures the car look in near perfect condition, I'll see tomorrow morning. If the car checks out what would be a good offer without insulting him?

Drove the car today. Shifts great, hopped on it pulled strong , no weird noises. Handled and stopped fine.
It has a brand new Magna-flow exhaust, new crossed drilled and slotted rotors and new brake pads. New radiator.
I couldn't find a scratch or ding on it. Interior was very clean with minimal wear in drivers seat. Clean Car-Fax.
Owner is willing to let me take it to a garage to put on a lift.
What do you guys think?

I'd ask the owner when the trans was down to replace the clutch did they do anything with the m/c or slave cylinders (or did they?). I'd ask as many questions as possible as to what they inspected and saw while that trans was down. You want to be sure they didn't leave any obvious stone unturned and that everything that could have easily been inspected was checked. Car sounds decent. Just so you know, for $12K to $13K you can sometimes step up to a more desirable 2001/2002 model year with 40K to 50K miles....depending on the market and availability in your area. Some peace of mind knowing the clutch is new, though sometimes problems show up soon after a fresh clutch installations that were done incorrectly. Hopefully, a quality shop with a good rep did the work.
