Hey everyone. I need some help pricing out my 2002 Z28 LQ9 powered Camaro. Once my old one got wrecked, I just haven't been able to stay attached to my new one the same.

505 crank hp

Chassis has 62k miles on it
LQ9 has around 35K miles on it – Pulled from Cadillac Escalade
Gauge cluster says 130k from my previous Camaro

Modifications:

Engine/Trans:
LQ9 iron block, LS1 heads, Comp Cam Torquer V.2 camshaft (232/234 .595/.598 113 LSA), LS7 hydraulic lifters, Upgraded Rods and Springs, LS6 intake manifold, LS1 throttle body, No EGR, D585 Truck blaster coils w/ heat sink, 28lb injectors, Racetronix fuel pump and harness (Walbro 255LPH), Bad knock sensor, Optima Red Top battery, Corvette fuel rail covers, rebuilt T56 transmission (15k miles ago), LS7 clutch, Pro 5.0 Shifter

Exhaust:
Long tube headers, 3 inch true dual dumped at rear axle, Pacesetter high flow monza catalytic converters, deleted front 02 sensors, Spintech pro street mufflers. Passes emissions. Sound wise this is the baddest thing on the road.

Interior:
Mostly Stock. Charcoal leather interior. Dash has a crack, and AC/heater only run to the floor vents. Both front seats have a tear in the leather. Billet aluminum racing pedals (not from autozone). Electronic locks are not hooked up. High beam switch does not turn on.

Suspension:
Bilstein Tuned Suspension kit (Shocks and struts), Drag bags in rear springs, tubular lower control arms (currently unistalled), LCA relocation brackets, Sway bars (22mm rear, 35mm front), front strut tower brace, Tubular subframe connectors (currently uninstalled)

Brakes/Exterior:
Drilled-slotted rotors, painted calipers (only 30k miles on calipers), aftermarket SS spoiler, SLP grill, HID headlights, 3inch HID round fog lights behind grill, Very rare Shelby Series one wheels (1 set of approximately 400 in existence ) + one spare front and rear wheel – Rear 18x12 (335/30/18) & front 18x10 (275/40/18), BFG gforce tires with about half tread life left. Tons of rubber in the rear.

The worst thing you could have done was to build that car with a salvage title. You may be better off parting this one out.

I wasn't worried about it during the build. I have a little one on the way and I just don't have the time or space to try and part it out. Anyone have a fair price in mind?

A modified car like that can be hard to sell; a modified car with a salvage title is going to be even more difficult. Another strike against you is that this time of year is the absolute worst to try and sell a car like that.

So, what's it worth? Definitely less than a similarly modified, clean titled car. Yet you haven't disclosed how many miles are on the chassis, which makes it hard to make a value comparison. Yeah, you have a lot of nice parts there, but they aren't going to add substantial value to the car. And with it having that salvage title, most banks won't even consider issuing a loan for it, which means you need a cash buyer. It's just not a good situation for you.

That being said, put it up for sale at a price you feel good about and see what happens. You will know real quick if the price is right based on how much "serious" interest it brings. Personally, I think you are going to take a heck of a bath on it trying to sell it whole, especially if you have to sell at this time of year.

Soooo.. I'd probably be better off buying a clean title rolling chassis for $1500, swap it all over, and then selling it. Or at that point, just parting it out..

I don't think the trouble of tearing that car down and building another with a clean title would be worth it. How much did you hope you would be able to sell it for?

I don't see $10k there. Not with a salvage title. For that kind of money, you can buy a clean titled, relatively low mileage SS or WS6. That is the kind of competition you will be trying to sell against in an already scarce market. It would be hard to justify spending that much money on a salvage title.

The truth is in the market, though. You are going to have to put it up for sale and see what happens. You might get lucky and find someone who loves the car and is willing to give you your price. It won't hurt to try. Another option would be to try and trade it.

Soo.. Found my title for this Camaro and it is actually clean. I apparently confused it with one of my other Camaro's titles. made a lot of hu-bub for nothing. But all good info from you guys so thanks. Now, knowing that, how much is this bad boy worth?
