whats my car worth? restored and race ready 2000 SS
looking for some honest values i could expect to sell the car for from yall that might be in the know what these old cars are going for.
Ill try to keep it short
2000 SS M6
body has 122k on it. Texas car
but in 2015 i spent well over 10k replacing and upgrading pretty much every mechanical component in the car. its pretty much a 2015 camaro with a 2000 body.
new TSP forged 347
Custom cam
new stage 2 trans
Moser 12 bolt
H/C/I/E
BMR and Koni suspension
CTSV brakes(may remove these before sell)
AC, PS pump, Steering rack, etc etc etc all replaced.
the car is bullet proof mechanically
ie pretty much everything under the body is new and upgraded all done in 2015 with about 2000 miles on them.
the motor and engine compartment is literally clean enough to eat off of, even underneith. not a drop of grease or oil anywhere.
Carpet has two 2" holes under gas and brake pedal from never running floor mats. floor mats would cover them.
Car has been in 3 magazines, including a 4 pages feature article in Camaro Performers Mag.
Paint is in good shape, front and rear bumpers have small nicks and scrapes under the nose.
i have owned it for 15 years and have full documentation and reciepts and pictures of the full life and mods on the car.
thoughts on a realistic average value this car might sell for, to a private buyer?

My car was a 99 with over 200,000 miles on the shell but everything had been replaced and or built. Very similar to this car with a stock LS6 that had forged pistons, ARP bolts, Katech chain and other goodies. Made 385 RWHP with full SLP 2OTL exhaust. Monster2 clutch, freshened trans, Detroit Tru-Trac diff.
Car had Koni SA rear and DA front, Strano springs, lowered panhard bar, WS6 seats, relocation brackets, Roto-joint rear everything in the rear stock stuff up front with all new bushings, Strano bars, frame connectors, strut tower brace and more stuff I've forgotten.
I got $10k for mine and I kept the Kirkey seats, Wolfe roll bar, Wilwood brakes(sold with C6 brakes), extra wheels(sold with chrome ZR1), seat belts and sold it all but the seats. So really I got $11,500 for it.
Your car is nicer than mine was.
You find the right *** for the seat and the cars bring good money.

id say your car is in the 10-15k range . I havent seen it and how the fit and finish is . It doesnt have a power adder but its aftermarket rear and engine and built trans so thats great . If i had to nail down a number id say 13. But put it up for 15k and see what happens.

I wouldn't really call it a "restoration" car if things like the paint/carpet are still original and show wear. Perhaps "mechanical restoration/upgrade" would be more accurate.
The mechanical stuff is solid (though many might rather see a 9", as it's an M6 car), but some of the cosmetics are polarizing so the market won't be as broad as if it were still stock appearing.
To the right buyer I'm sure it would be worth a decent amount but, at the $15k price suggested above, I wouldn't expect a quick sale.
