Default What size tire on 17 x 5?

I am having my frony ZO6's narrowed up, was thinking either 17x5 or 17x4 if they can go that far from 17x9. What size tire, performance based, should I go with?

I'd go 17x4 and run Hoosiers 26x7.5-17 front street tire, like this mustang has. That is if its a street driven car. They are a nice tire, because they have a real tread pattern on them, and are DOT approved.

Those are an option. I was wondering if there is anything else out there that might work, size wise.

Yeah that is more of a front runner style. I was looking for a regular performance tire, like maybe something from the ricer crowd.

Those two are about it, as far as a 4" or 5" rim goes.

If your willing to use a 5.5" wide wheel you can use a 205/55/17, it's around 25.88" tall . That's the narrowest tire I could find.

And if your gonna run a 5.5 or a 6" front, its not even worth the money having them narrowed.

That's the smallest tire I could find in a regular performancr street tire, that's close to factory height. A 5.5" rim is the smallest rim width reccomended for a 205. The ball is in his court now.
