Chime in ! Question ZO6 Wheel on a 99 F-body
Hey guys...
I've got an opportunity to get a set of "Stock GM" ZO6 Wheels for my 99 F-body... I know Replicas might fit better, but I would like to run these...
The size is the stock ZO6 wheels, which I am not 100% sure on, also dont know the offset, I believe the fronts are 18x9.5 and the rears are 19x12's...
Okay.. So here's what I’m looking at.
Fronts = 18x?? with tires 275/35ZR18
Rear = 19x12 I believe with Tires 325/30ZR19
Now before people can say these rims won’t fit, consider the following... My old rims were stock ZR1 SS Wheels in the front, and the ZR1 17x11 rears with 315/35/17 Nitto Drags. I ran these for years without fitment issues.. I have also fit some 335/35/17 Mich Pilot Tires on the rear, got these fit fine, with an occasional rub on the inner fender, didn’t do enough of the BFH mod..
But, here is a pic of them on..
The old Pilot Tires were 335/35/17's or 26.2" Tall
The Tires on the ZO6 Wheels are 325/30/19's or 26.7" Tall
I am prepared to do the B. F. H. Mod a little more, and to run a some spacers for the rears which I'm sure I need to do. And to also roll the fenders a little to get these to fit..
But my question is, has anyone fit these on their F-Body? What does it take? I would like to get this to happen...
Thx you Rim/Tire experts !!
Clint

try a search in this forum, there was a guy not long ago (august maybe) that put a set of these on a green camaro vert and, don't hold me to it but if I remember right, I believe he said they bolted right on with no spacers. They were factory wheels too.

I wish i knew you wanted some when i was getting rid of mine. i would have traded for some tuning time.
Edit: didnt realize it was C6 wheels becasue i cant see pics at work. either way, your car is a BAMF.

if you have a spacer that bolts to the rotor, the wheel then bolts to the spacer do you change all the studs? my car runs high 11s now but plan on running mid 10s this coming summer. thanks, shawn
