Question about the offset about rims
I purchased two black zo6 rims on craigslist. The size is 18 inch 9.5. They fit fine...then I found some front ones that I could buy so I could have a matching set and they are 17 inch 9.5. I don't know which offset I need to go with...offset 38 and the other is 54. I have a picture of the rims that I want to purchase. Do i need spacers for the front? If you know anything about rims, let me know. I have a '98 z28 Camaro.

Sticky at the top says 38 - 56 offset will fit for a 9.5" wheel. +38 will have the biggest lip but I wouldn't go with a bigger lip than the rear! My +38 offset 18x9's have about a 3 inch lip.

The offset doesnt decide the size of the lip. There are 17x11 zr1s with a 50mm offset that have ~2-3 inch lip, and some that have a ~1-2inch lip. It all depends on how the wheel manufacturer decides to make the wheel.
