275s vs 285s, post pics!
Anyone have more info on this subject? and if possible post pics as well. Basically some people say that 285/40/17 look a little taller then the 275s even tho they have the same sidewall height of 40 if im not mistaken? I wanna know if it would be worth it to do 275s up front and 285s out back or just stick with 275s all around. Would the 285 look any wider like some say, or would they look skinnier like some say. I plan to lower the car this summer as well so im not worried about the wheel space ugliness right now but what are your thoughts on these two sizes?

I think that the difference would be negligible. I'd go with whatever is cheaper. You'll probably notice more of a difference by switching brands (ie. Nitto to BFG), than you will be stepping up the size by 10 millimeters.
Also, be sure you don't throw off your ABS sensor if you're doing this!

Yeah, that seems about right. I doubt that will be enough difference to set off your ABS sensor. It's only about 0.3 inches.
I have a difference of 0.4 and I've never had a problem.
What wheels are you planning on going with?
Come to think of it, I would be inclined to go 275 all around, since you'll be able to rotate the front/back wheels&tires, since I'm assuming you're a little harder on your rear tires than your fronts.

FR=275'S...REARS=285'S....My Kuhmo's are almost 1/2" wider in rear.[285's] [as far as ABS being screwed up--it takes almost an inch in height to do anything BTW.]

If you corner aggressively and have some camber in the alignment, the tires will wear differently enough that rotating them front to back won't work worth a damn anyway...
I lost lots of front grip when i rotated mine after 5k because of the live axle/IFS wear difference. YMMV though.

275 and 285 are close and depends on the brand they could be really really hard to tell apart. I had 285's and I liked them it just saved me 100 bucks last time to get 275's and I didn't figure worth it for 10 millimeters.
but if the price is close go with 285's
