tire size stock ws6 rims

tire size stock ws6 rims i have the stock 17x9 ws6 rims. i was thinking of staying with stock size tires in the back or possibly going to 285/40r17. I was wondering though if I wanted to save a few pounds and also dollars and go to 245/45r17 in front would it look too narrow? tire rack says its for 7.5"-9" rims. Anyone have any pics or info?

245s on a 9inch rim would look gay and be really narrow. Not to mention you would loose handling going from the 275s to that. 285/40/17 fit fine on the stock wheels but basically there almost the same size as 275s only a lil more pricey. If u could get 285s for around what 275s are then I would say go for it!
