Default My studs keep bending!!!

Sometimes I get lazy and drive with my OEM 10 spokes with MT DR's to the track instead of putting on my Hoosier slicks at the track. The 10 spokes use acorn nuts, which suck, and I end up bending my studs. This is the third time I've ruined a set of studs. The Hoosiers with Billet Specialties wheels use shanked lug nuts which wont bend the studs. Question is there any way I can use a shanked lug nut on the OEM wheels, if i drill the holes out?

It's been awhile since I've looked at stock rims but it seems to me that if there is enough metal to be able to machine a flat area for the lug to set and still hold the rim I don't see why not.

Thanks for the response, I may drill them out, but I think I'm going to go for another set of BS wheels in 17" and be done with it, when I get the $. What surprises me is that no one else seems to be bending studs and I've got 1/2 x 20's which are stronger than the OEM.
