Default 17" Billet specialties questions.

Been looking at wheels latley and the 17" B/S Street lights are growing on me. But I do have some questions before the purchase.

My car (Camaro) is lowered on a pro-kit (About 1.5 inches) and I have an adjustable PHB.

Also, I will be getting some 15x10's w/slicks for the track. Below is just for my street set-up.

Rear:

Will these stick out the wheels wells? A few pics of them I have seen on cars, they look like they might stick out a bit. Due to the angle, I can't be certain.

What tires to go with. I've seen Nitto's on them and they look small. What do you guys think about the Kumho XS's in either the 315/35/17 or 335/35/17? Do you even think I should attempt the 335's. I am not shy to bash on my inner fenders or roll the lips to make them fit. How about them new Toyo Q's in a 315? I want a mean/aggessive look, but I don't want it to look gay.

Front's:

Should I go with the 17x7's, or 9.5's? What tire size would I go with for either? Anyone make a matching set of performance tires that will work for the front and back?

Like I said, this is my street set-up and I will be using the front 17's for my drag as well.

Just don't go with 7s on the front, I hate it when people put a wheel that small on these cars unless its a slicks/skinnies setup.

I say 17x9.5s up front and 17x11s and a 275 front and a 335 rear. Thats what I'll be doing unless I go 18s, but 17s look really good on these cars

I'm kinda on the same boat. I don't think the weight savings is the priority for me (Even though I like light stuff), if it were the case, I would have a spindle mounted Bogart.

************** Also, My car does have ground effects so a little gay is ok, but not a whole lot.****************

I don't see why you woudn't go 7's on the fronts. Buddy of mine here in town has them and I will hopefully be getting them soon.

If you want to use the 7's for double duty (track/street) why not get them and not the 17x9.5's?

I pretty much plan on doing the same you are going to do.

17x7 w/ 215/50R17
17x11 w/ 315/35R17

then a

15x10 w/ 28x11.50R15 ET Street for the track.

17x7/17x11 Combo looks killer

a 335, is really hard to fit on those springs.. i have them and i cant even accelerate hard cause it buts the car on the tire. i have 17x11 tt2s i'm not sure if the backspace on these rims will push it in more but my setup doesn't work to good..

I like the 9.5 up front and the 11 out back with MT 295-45-17 Street Radial out back. Someone just posted up some pics on here with that setup and it looked great, I`ll see if I can find the post in a few.

Here`s the link in reference to the rear tire size, I think this would look good on a 17x11 B/S Street Light. I think the front looks good with the 17x7, but if it was my car I would run a 17x9.5 up front(Some Day)

does anyone know the weight difference roughy between the 17x7 and 15x3.5? i like the idea mentioned in this thread about the double duty for the fronts and just swap rears for the track. but of course the main concern would be how much would those 17x7 really affect weight transfer?

on a side note, has anyone seen a 17" front with a 15x10 rear with a big tire radial? for people throwing down some power on the street don't you think a 15x10 with a 28" radial be ideal?

waiting on the pics john

One of the best looking 17 inch wheel for an F-body I think..I want 18s but cant afford Fikse or CCW..so this is what I got!

17x9.5s and 11s out back Cant remember offsets but it was for an F-body..
I think the stick out just enough to look bad ***..Looks Tuff but still classy..

Nitto 555s
275,315. The street tires look much wider than the drs.

Go with the 9.5s the 7s wont like corners as well..and tire selection is a lot better..

Took most of these last week..
Be prepaird to polish and polish..I take the wheels off and do the insides everytime..thats how you keep um lookn new!

15x3.5 = do not fit with stock brakes
15x4 = 10.5 lbs
17x7 = I'll ask and post tomorrow

I've seen some customized B/S Street Lites with parts of the rims blacked out. They look pretty nice. B/S has thought a bit about offering that the public.

They don't stick out on my Camaro, they sit perfect IMHO with 17x11 and 17x7s. I don't like the look of the Nitto DRs on an 11" wide wheel, but some people like them and other Nitto tires have wider tread width. I have the Toyo DRs on mine, which are about the same width as the MT DRs. I don't like them as well as the MTs though, so MTs will be going on next. I had to roll the lips on mine, but didn't have to bash the fenders in. I am on stock rear springs with the hose mod + 1 full coil cut off. They definitely don't look gay!

If you are using the same fronts for drag racing, definitely go with the 17x7s. My car is a daily driver that I like to run at the track in the same trim that I drive it, and these are the perfect wheels for me. I like having the option of getting a 15x10 down the road for track days if needed. I have DD on 15x3.5 and 15x10 Welds before and hated it, these are the perfect wheel for me. I bought the cheapest speed-rated 215/50R17 in stock at DTD.

This is my daily driver:

Front: 17x7 with 215/50ZR17
Back: 17x11 with 315/35R17 Toyo DRs

Here are some more pics, I removed the IMG tags from these since there are so many. I am using a UMI adjustable PHB to center the rear, and the fender lips have been rolled:

And here are some pics from before I cut the springs 1 coil and did the rear hose mod. The height and gap almost makes it look like they stick out from the wheel wells, but they don't. With it lowered, it looks flush.

Can anyone give me the correct bolt pattern and back spacing for the BS Street Lites for my 02 WS6? I acutally made a new thread asking the same question, but stumbled upon this thread when I was searching I'd like to get the 17x8 and 17x11 combo.
