Angry Problem with Mickey Thompson DRs?

I bought 315/30/18 MT ET Street DRs they hooked up great - didn't spin in any gear. Took them to the track and everything was fine...since then they haven't hooked at all. I burn out all the way through 2nd gear - my car seems to go sideways a little when I get on it. They don't feel safe at all. I looked at them today and noticed this:

Don't know if this is normal or not but it looks like the rubber is pealing off the tire.

are they directional tires? if so, check if they are one the right way.( i know, its sounds dumb) i heard that putting them on the wrong way diminishes tread life by 50%.

The tires are just feathered up some, what I do is switch the rear rims around when you go to the track and that feather look will go away. Its from driving them on the street, my brand new ones with 400mi look like that cause i haven't been to the track yet.

the roughness on the tread is from them spinning. the tire is trying to hook, but the tread is being ripped away. from the pics, the tires look just about done.
