Scuff it up really good, even across the wheel, don't miss the crevaces. I mean scuff it till you think its done, then scuff some more. Prep is the key to making them look good. Wipe them down with acetone or some similar cleaner before you spray. Make sure you don't over spray, take your time with thin even coats. Primer will help too, you can sand it with some wet/dry paper if you want to make it smoother. Are you painting them all black?

Eh sand might be harsh on aluminum. Thats what i was going to do but people on here advised against it. Start with like 800-1000 grit probably. I don't think you'll have to work your way up much unless you wetsand them afterwards.

With dry time and everything, about 10 hours. I just spent time prepping them, then just kept going back in the garage every 45mins or so to put a new coat on them til they were done, and let them dry overnight before i put them on, and another day til i drove the car just to be safe.
