Default Wider than stock tires

Ok, I am looking to get new tires for the rear today. I would like to go as wide as I can on a 16x8 rim. Right now I am running 245-50-16 and need to go wider. Can ya'll help me out please? Thanks

you can only go to a 255... there may be more sizes, but for a 16x8 thats about as big as you can go...

No way . . . I have the same rim and put 295 on them. My tires are not slipping on my rim even though my car has 545 rwhp.
