because nittos are narrower than a lot of tires would it be alright to fit 315s on a 9.5 inch rim
i wish they made 295 nt555's

i already read the stickies and i would not do it would any other tire but nittos because they are much narrower

does any one have the exact measurement of 315 nittos nt555's

285/40-17s fit very well on 9.5 inch wheels. As for measurement on the 315s.. Ill have some pics up shortly.

i know the 285s fit great
i got 285 Goodyear gsd3 and i love how wide they are out back im just hoping that the nittos are not noticeably narrower which i hear they are

315 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel.

315mm is 12.4 inches.

why would 315mm on one tire brand be different than 315mm on another tire brand.

i know that but trust me there is a difference in the brand name on how wide they are sumitomos are some of the narrowest tires ive ever seen. comparing 315 sumitomos and 315 goodyears they are almost and inch and a half narrower there is a pic on this site somewhere

do you think that the nitto nt555 non dr are consistent with normal sizes or are they narrow like the 555r

If im not mistaken, they are pretty consistant. Our other car had that combo on it (275/40 front, and 285/40 rears) for quite a while. the 285s bulge slightly more on a 9" wheel than the 275, but they fit really nice on 9.5s. Sorry i dont have measurements, but theyll look good.
