Talking 315s on '00 WS.6 wheels. Pics in here!!

I decided it was time to change up the wheels on my SOM WS.6. I liked the wheels that were on it, but traction was practically non existent. Since i already had the '00 WS.6 wheels, i picked up a set of Nitto 555s in 315/35-17 for the rear.

Heres what the car had before: 17x9s (275/40-17)front, and 18x9.5s (275/40-18)rear:

And after a claybar, a couple coats of Zaino, my new old wheels. BTW, rears are 11" wide :

Default Widened Factory Wheels

I would love any and all information that you can provide on getting the factory wheels widened. I love the 10 Spokes on my SS but want to run a 315 in the rear. Thanks for anything you may be able to provide.

They were done by Wheels America, (www.wheelsamerica.com) out in Texas. As for the cost, i dont remember exactly what it was. I dont have access to the receipt(Out of town), but i want to say it was roughly 200 a wheel?
Im running a 1" adapter for them to clear. I centered up the rear, and had to do the BFH mod on the inner fenders, since these tires are a good amount bigger than the DRs(pics below). I cant speak for the SS wheels, but i currently have ARPs 2.25" wheel studs in the rear, and they actually fit into the back of the wheel, so i didnt have to cut them to use the adapter.

No balancing issues at all! No vibrations, nothing!

Yup, cars still around. Im up in Turlock, so its not too far from you guys. It got a few things changed around but its still the same car. New trans, new stall, wheels, and some N2O parts so far.

You could say that. Here are some comparison pics i took when i got em:

This is the 555 unmounted next to a 555R mounted on these same wheels.

Heres the 555 Mounted compared to the 275/40 that came off the car.

Thanks man. Maybe one day, well meet up at a GTG somewhere. Was it you that came out to Turlock a while back? Dont think we met, i was hiding because my old Lightning sounded fast, but wasnt compared to alot of the cars there. LOL

Uh, not sure why you have to have adapters and do the bfg mod? I have 315's on off the shelf TTII's and I dont have either nor any clearance issues?
Sounds like when they widened your wheels they set the inset in too much and thus the need for the spacers to push the tire outwards?

I just got some wheels done myself and they add behind the spokes so you need a spacer for clearance if it was close before.
I hope to have mine back from the powdercoaters in a few days then time to shop for tires!!
