Default Polished Wheels Rock!!!

Or not! This is the outcome of polished wheels being mounted on a broke down car for close to a year under a carport. I took one of the centers off and quickly polished it on the buffer to see what I would end up with. I think the the center came out pretty good for not really using the right buff and polish. Now I need to take them all a part and polish the centers and outer lips.

This is going to be the last time I polish these bad boys next time I'm powder coating the centers and getting the outer lips chromed.

Polished wheels do suck if you dont keep them clean constantly. You did a damn good job on them so far.

Finally I'm done. All that is left is to assemble two of the wheels which I'm gonna go do right now. Gonna order some new tires for the rears tomorrow. I'm tired of working on these. I started around 1pm and finished buffing them around 7pm.

I REALLY need to polish my TTII's....
Two tomorrow night after work, and two Friday night after work.
Cruise Saturday.

Yours looks great!!! Mine are in much better shape starting out, so hoping they come back nicely. Going to put some RejeX on them to see if that helps keep them clean.

I used the compound in the link below and a 6" buffing wheel I picked up from Sears on my bench grinder. I tried tripoli compound(sears brand) but I had better results with the stuff below. Next time I'm going to pick up some stuff from Eastwood>>>.

I have never used it, but I have heard very good things about Zoop seal. It is a little costly but 6 hrs of polishing can be too!
