Default tires recomended?

I am going to purchase a set of z06 spyder rims 18x8.5 for the front and 18x9.5 for the rear. My question is what tires are people running for that size rim and what works good a drag tire in the back or a radial. My current hp to the wheels is 455hp and im going supercharged soon so traction is a big issue.

I'd try some mickey thompson et streets, either that or nitto 555r's. But from what i've heard the et streets perform better than the nitto's, but the nittos have a longer life

this will be for everyday driving if i miss lead anyone. I have have nitto 555r on 17's right now but nitto only makes a 285 and not a 295 on an 18 inch rim. Just wondering what other drag radial people are using instead of nitto's?

^ Well just because someone forces too big a tire onto too small of a wheel that does not make it right . . . .

Tire manufacturer's create size fitment charts for a a reason . . .

I like the Nitto 555r tires. Yesterday it was down pouring and I gunned it around a turn a little bit just to see how they are, didn't slide one bit.. felt like dry pavement. 275/40/17s in front and 275/40/17 drag radials in back
