Got OE Wheels? We need your Images *DON'T QUOTE PICS!
#1962
I just got my wheels and tires in the mail, installed them on my red 99 T/A. Got the c6 Z06 black with machined face 18"x9.5 all four. The tires are the nexens from the tire package.
I'll post some pics tomorrow when It's daylight, but I noticed a few things:
1. the plastic "vette" center caps are chrome paint, for a machined face wheel. Doesnt really match. Are there other color options for the center caps? I would paint them myself but I'm not sure what color would match the machined look. ultra light grey maybe?
2. I was originally running 16" stocks with a taller tire compared to the nexens. Since i switched out, the ride is extremely rough and now my car is squeaking in 4 new places lol. My question is will the rougher ride hurt or damage anything? I live in a bumpy city and I feel really guilty when I drive down these roads.
3. Anyone have any type of rubbing with the 18x9.5s stock ride height? I felt some vibrations but I think it was just the new tire tread going over a bridge. (Not used to new tires maybe)
Sorry for corrupting your thread with my noobness, I just worry a lot about my car. All in all my red car looks amazing with these wheels! I dont even think I'll need to lower it like I was expecting!!!

Also what size tires did you go with? Shorter sidewall will obviously effect ride negatively, just checking you didn't go to short.
Also, if you want to improve ride look into getting better shocks, they make a huge difference.

Heres my new set... Went from OE C5 chrome skinnies to these. They have been re-coated solid gloss black (minus rivets), no polished lip. I love the red/black theme....

Okay Here is a pic of mine, 18"x9.5" all four, 275-35-18 tires as mentioned earlier.
Car needs a bath bad but it's been raining all week pardon the mess.
edit - see what I mean about the bad roads I have to drive on? O.o

Style counts. - (Dont just shoot it in your driveway, with your neighbors garbage cans in the background)

Try to include the entire vehicle in the shot.
Those that pay attention to background, detail and lighting will stand out from the rest, and be most eligible to win the $100 Cash Prize.
