Default Tinting stock WS6 wheels?

I have the stock '00 WS6 rims and I went too long without washing my rims so they built a fine layer of brake dust and, as weird as this sounds, I LOVE the color! It looks like someone sprayed one coat of that headlight/taillight tint stuff on them. Since my car is black, it just matches awesome! And I was wondering, how could I mock this color? Since they have that clear coat could I just spray taillight tint on them? Thanks!

Well, I want it to still have that reflective quality. And it's not super dark it's just like normal, with a hint of darkness. I can't think of a way to describe it.

Yup. That's exactly it. Lol. Like a 5% or 10% smoke. How do I get that?!

EDIT: I realized thats super dark. I meant like a 20-30ish. Just enough to tell. I will take a picture and post it.

I would buy some metallic black or black chrome Duplicolor spray paint and (mask off the tire obviously) hit it with a real light coat, like a fine mist. Repeat until the desired darkness.

Make sure you do the surface prep first though or it will not last and look like poo. Not saying polish them back to stock but make sure the surface is clean and dry. Hit it with some soap and water, then alcohol, then dry it real well. Spray away.

Here is what I'm going for. The rims were used, I promise I didn't put any road rash on it.

OK. I found what I need. It's Duplicolor Metalcast MC206. It's a smoke color and gives it that anodized color.
