Default Installed C5 Deep Dish Wheels on a LT1 Trans Am

Just installed C5 Deep Dish wheels on my 97 Trans Am this weekend. I went with the 17/18 wheel and tire package that includes Toyo Proxes TR1 tires. Wheels came with tires mounted and balanced. The tires are balanced very well, no vibrations at all.

The car has Sam Strano Springs and Koni 4/4 shocks, just finished up installing the springs and shocks last week as well as an alignment. I have not seen anyone post pics of these wheels on a LT1 Trans am so here are some taken tonight.

Thanks! I'm loving how the car drives now as well. The Strano springs dropped around 1.25 inches, which is about what the advertised drop is I believe. In these pics the car is sitting in my drive way which has a slight grade with the rear of the car down hill a little. When on a level surface the front fender gap is slightly less than the rear which is exactly how I like it.

Awesome! Looks really nice, congrats.

I have my Koni's and Stranos in the car now. Waiting to get an alignment soon and for OEwheels to make the 18x9.5's for the front. Probably gonna go with the Machined face ones.

Thanks guys. The rears are 295/35/18 and the fonts are 265/40/17, they are one of the tires OE wheels offers. I wouldn't go any smaller on the front or back as the rubber is just flush with the rims. In the future I will run a 275 up front and a 305 out back as I feel it will look better on these rims. The rim/tire package mounted and shipped to my door was around $1400.00

The car handles way better on the Strano/Koni setup compared to stock, way more confident and stable around the bends.

I wanted a little more rubber but that was the largest they had and I needed them quickly and didn't want to mess around finding other tires and having them mounted locally. The rubber still fills the rims just fine but when the tires need to be replaced I will go bigger.

EvilZ06- make sure you post pictures when you get those on your WS6!
