Default finaly got a trans am

well i have wanted a ls1 trans am for years. and last friday i bought a 99 ls1 m6 trans am.

but i want to change the wheels and tires, thinking about black z06 wheels.

what is the widest rim and tire that will fit on the rear and still stay inside the wheel wells with no rubbing issues?

and what size rim and tires would you guys recomend?

mostly for the street but few times at the track.

Congrats on the car!!! You're going to love it!

FYI , this should actually be in the wheel/tire forum.

But anyway, what color is the car? We need to know that to know if black wheels will work.

And what Z06 wheels?

Black C6 Z06's are nice, but that's a big HELL NO to C5 Z06's. Reason #1 being they're ridiculously common, #2 they look horrible on 'Birds IMO, and #3 they're just a fugly wheel in general.

Personally, I think a 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear looks really nice, and that's what I'll probably do for my next set of wheels.
