Default Can`t Decide on new Wheels ?

I`m gonna be look`n at getting some new wheels over the winter & I
can`t decide on witch one`s to get it looks like it`s gonna be either one of
these :

OE wheels C5 DD machined faced with black 18x9.5 & 18x10.5 ( when available ) .
OR
HP design lightining`s machined face with black 19x9.5`s

Also if I go with the 19`s will a 295 series tire fit or will a 285 be better ?
Any opinions on either would be great
Thanks.

You know, those machined face C5's actually look pretty good. At first glance they look like a more expensive wheel than they are.

Having said that, seriously, enough with the Corvette wheels already.

Believe it or not, there are actually other wheels that fit our cars.

I don't really care if it's a Corvette wheel. If they look good, and they work on our cars, use them. Everyone uses Vette wheels, because they look good. And technically, they aren't Vette wheels. They're somewhat styled after the C5 rims, but, that's just because they're a thinner 5-spoke rim.

Yeah well thats why I was looking at the HP Evo`s too they are so but I`ve heard they can be difficlut to get , we kinda have bad roads up here (afraid to bend a rim ) , and you can`t get a wide enough wheel for the back unless if ya think a 295 will fit ?

I don`t plan on making crazy HP so it may be enough tire for me but I do have a contact who could widend them for me though , also my car is a firehawk & I wanted to put something alittle uninqe on my car too . . .

Now don`t get me wrong the DD C5`s look sweet , you can`t beat the price
& I would not have to have the wheels widend .

Here`s a pick of the HP`s I just want everyone`s opinions on both thanks .

I'd do the HPs, Vette wheels are too played out. Wether they look good are not. Be different.

I agree too, go with the HPs, and I have vette wheels too. I am looking at getting some different rims in the future...not vette wheels.

Go with the C5 wheels. They look better and they are the correct bolt pattern for the car, the evos are not. Small difference = still different.

He asked for our opinion.

And he thinks the HPs look good. If you read further.

Thanks sstg , I do like the HP`s allot but how about from a performance standpoint , I`m gonna loose some rear traction with the 19`s & 285/35`s right ? But I don`t plan on drag racing or auto Xing it really , maybe once or twice

And I`m not really gonna build a high horsepower car anyway maybe somithing like 400-500 n/a h/c range but thats way later down the road I`m
trying to make my car handle first , use my suspension as a base and work around that , but I kinda F`d up I should have bought adjustable shocks , oh well .

i'd like the c5 deep dish's SO much more if they'd offer a staggered fitment, like 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 with a 1.5" lip in front and 3" out back...

Not like a Lincoln lol, but not bad. It's harsher, but not ridiculous. The tires are 275/30/19.
