Default How wide are the GM 10 Spokes?????????

I tried searching and reading the stickys but I cant find an answer. So I'm sorry MODS if this is taboo but how wide are the GM 10 spokes? I have painted 10 spokes on my 95 Z now with 275 40's and want to go to a 285 40 or maybe a 305. I want to know if these will fit on these rims? I'm pretty sure I have seen 285s on these before but not sure about 305s. Thanks guys.

According to the sticky 275s are the biggest you can go but I know I have seen 285s on these before. Has anybody else seen or put 285s on these rims? The reason I'm asking is I can get a good deal on some 285 40s for the rear soon.

Dude, there are many more options in the 275 tires then 285. Why do you really care about the extra 10mm? Just go with the 275 tires, and call it good.

I've seen 315 sumitomo's on oem zr1's and they looked RIdiculous, but I've seen 315 nittos on oem 4th gen ws6 wheels and they looked ok. Definately a little sketchy going any wider as my front 275 eagle gsd3's bubble a little over the rim on a gm 10 spoke.

Hey man, do you know who did the widening? Do you have to run any kind of spacers on them? I would love to do this to my 10 spokes, but im sort of anti spacer....

285/40/17 Goodyear GSD3's on my 10 spokes in the back, no problems at all, at any speed, looks real nice to. Thats the factory size that came on C4 vettes.

Check out the thread on the first page " narrowed stock wheels" theres a company posted that can widen your stock rims. Even pics of someone who did.
