Default Anyone know of rims similar to these?

Yeah, I know this may seem like blasphemy, but I think some of the best looking OE rims out there are the Black/Chrome lipped FR500s for Mustangs. been seeing them on the 99-04s everywhere, and they look DAMN good. granted, our cars look better stock than ANY modded mustang, but I'd love to find a set of wheels similar to the FR500

here's an example:

I've got an Arctic White 1999 Trans Am, stock and sleak-beak, and think something like these would be a great first addition.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the C5 Z06s. In fact, I was stuck on a set of Black Z06 motorsports for about 2 years, and recently decided I don't care for the look much anymore. It seems a bit overdone too. That's part of the reason I'd like to find something like these...a bit more original.

Sorry, I know this was a bit long. Anyone know of any similar wheels to these that fit our lug patters? (Color doesn't matter to me: chrome, polished, black, etc...whatever). Thanks, all.

I always wanted a set of FR500s for my old 99 GT. Good looking wheel. They should make them in a Chevy pattern

Or get the C5 Z06's black with a chrome lip, but NO rivets... I think rivets over-do almost every wheel they are on, but without them I really like the black C5 Z06s.

CHRRRIS, i totally agree on non-rivet Z06s looking better...but at this point i'm pretty sure that's not the route i want to go. thanks for the input though! seriously guys, i appreciate all input. thanks.

apparently they're '09 Vette Spyder wheels. i dig 'em. a LOT.

any opinions on what finish would look best on an Arctic White '99 T/A?

The only reason I dont like those are because they do not have any sort of lip, which I find weird looking on fourth generation F bodies. FR500s have a nice lip in the front, and the 17x11 rears have a bigger lip. That's what makes them look killer.

to the op on ebay there are spacers you can buy that have the bolt pattern of mustangs on the ends, so you could run those wheels

this might sound really lame, but the new 2010 Malibu wheels seem pretty sick. correct me if i'm wrong, but they look fairly similar to the FR500s (still no lip though...)

i could see a nicely adonized set of those in a graphite or black...i don't know, hah.

hey, hitman, how well do spacers work on our cars? does that have an adverse effect on suspension, steering, etc?

people run spacers on their DDs, no adverse effects. the only thing you would need to do is get stronger studs from ARP that can handle moving the wheel further from the body.

i wouldnt recommend anodizing for wheels, powdercoating is a much better way to go. look around for a local powdercoat shop, they should do it for 250-300
