Default Widening WS6 wheels

So, I'm searching for traction on my WS6 now that I've put a yank ss3600 stall in. Currently I'm running c6 motorsports 19x9.5 wheels with bfg kdw2 275-30-19 rubber. Can't hook from a dig whatsoever, so I recently stripped clear coat and cleaned up my stock ws6 wheels. They came out great, so I'm thinking bout having rears widened to 11" to fit 315 dr's. They are the 98-00 wheels, do you guys care for the look of going this route? Will I be able to hook a lot better? Might be interested in selling my 19" as well. I'll try to get some pics up later.

Post some pictures if you decide to go this route. I've been really thinking hard about doing this myself.

The main issue is your trying to race a car on rubber bands. Contact Patch is nice and all but side wall flex (give) is equally as important to help not shock the tire as badly. Also compound will def become a factor, the better compound, the more likely hood it will stick to the road.

Buy these...

He told me he'd take $450 for them if I picked them up. But then someone bid on them before I got a chance to reply

I have a buddy with an 87' IROC with discontinued American Racing wheels on it. He's looking to have the rear ones extended another 2"inches. What was the cost?

Just buy a 15" set of wheels, welds, stars, whatever.. and put a tire with some sidewall on them.. they'll hook better than a 17" tire and will probably be close or save you money to the price of shipping wheels, getting them widened and shipped back, etc..

I had my 17's widened to 11" and thay hook very well, I run Hoosier DR. 335/35/17".And had my fronts narrowed to 6". I took it to the track and was cutting 1.51 60ft with 13psi in the tires and full suspension and was slipping the tires on the rims a bout 3" every pass. and was wrinkling the tires off the line on 17's. 15" tires might be better but im happy with the 17" tires ,here is a pic of it.
