Default nitto 555 vs goodyear gsd3

has anyone ever run the nitto 555 extreme performance AND the goodyear gsd3?

i currently have the goodyear gsd3s on 17x9 10 spokes.

the nittos seems to have the same specs at half the price, which makes me think something is missing.

the gsd3s have lasted about 20k miles and have preformed well, but i wouldn't mind a tire that lasted little longer, especially at a lower price.

thanks
tony

the 555 is a much harder compound than the GS D3. the 555R is still firmer than the goodyear. you should see a bit more mileage and a bit less performance from the Nittos

I've run the 555's on the street for quite a while now & feel they are one of the best values in a performance tire for handling. I got 1 year out of my Goodyears. Nittos hold up OK for a 300 tread wear tire. You cannot expect them to outhandle a 200 treadwear tire, but I'm very happy with the handling & got 2 years out of them. I will be buying another set.
