Default powdercoat my z06's or get some tt2's

So I'm in a little moral debate with myself on what i want to do with my car. I love my z06's, but at the same time ive always loved the way tt2's look. I have a perfect set of OEM c5z06's that im thinking of powdercoating black (see post #145 on this page https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...ur-pics-8.html)

If you were me, would you keep the c5's and powdercoat them or get some tt2s? i am going to get the slp bowtie very soon so keep that in mind. See pics of my car in the sig link that says Pics.

maybe this will help your decision. z06 wheels look good, but they are everywhere. now, you dont see 18 inch TT2s everywhere. im much happier with my TT2s than i was with the z06 wheels

thanks for the pics. car looks great. only thing i can agree with is that there are a lot of c5 wheels on camaros. but tt2s arent that rare themselves. i dont get why people always bring up the "everyone has them" debate.

Thumbs up

They both look good, but if you still like the Z06 wheels I would go ahead and powder coat them.

re-read. i said 18 inch TT2s. ive NEVER seen an 18 inch TT2 other than mine done in black....you hafta custom order the 18s. these wheels actually came off of NineBall's hugger orange car. regardless.....TT2 is a much better looking wheel. the 5 spoke design is 100% timeless, they are super easy to maintain, and the deep stepped lip looks SO much better than the quarter inch "lip" they put on the Z06 wheels.

IMO,Boyd Coddington 18" JUNKYARD DOG's are a better looking option to the TT2's, but they cost more!

Those are nice too but a little pricey.

That pic of the black Camaro really sold me on the powdercoated c5s for some reason

Hey man, you need to keep in mind that your wheels are chrome. The chrome will need to be stripped/blasted off before powdercoating them. And getting the chrome off is not an easy task...

I'm going to have to vote a torque thrust style wheel over the powdercoated zo6's. I think it's the lip of the wheels that defines my liking.
