Default i was just wondering....

....why OEM wheels for the most part have spokes that are generally almost (if not completely) flush with the outer lip of the wheel.....why don't they may OEM wheels that have a little bit of lip on them? i don't think it's because of the stance/stability, because regardless of where the mounting hub is located, the outside edge of the wheel can still be engineered to end up in the same place, so you don't lose any stability.

i just think that the majority of OEM wheels that have the spokes flush with the outer lip are really kinda ugly, and it would seem like they would want to make the car look better, not worse.
