If you make any kind of respectable power and like 50mph burn outs.... Buy them!

Horrible horrible horrible for traction..

cheap and look good though

I had them on back when I had stock rims and suspension (but hp mods in sig). Could burn them in almost any gear at almost any speed. If you like to impress people with low-rev tire spin, they are the right choice! For hooking? Heck no.

you get what you pay for, they are great for DD cars, but as stated do not expect to hook with them at all

hmmm...i may rethink my choice then. it's only a daily driver, but i want something that'll still hook up reasonably well. i noticed tirerack rated them pretty high, and also they were so cheap, so i thought they might be too good to be true. how are they in the rain??

Yeah I'm with everybody else, they are a good tire if you need rubber on the ground for cheap. If you're looking for traction better pick something else.

Nexen N 3000s... Not the best hooking tire out there but they look really good and IMO are reasonable price.

They are crap, that being said they are fun/scary at the same time, they will let go at any time even in a auto so they are fun for getting sideways and not feeling bad about wearing them out cause they are cheap but there were many times I wanted them to hook and they didnt and that scared me. Also they are a little narrow compared to some other tires I have had so they dont protect the rim as well from curb rash.

Lemons, do they have those Nexxen's in 315's that you know of? Do the nexxens hook considerably better than the sumitomo?

Sorry for the thread hijack OP

Not sure man, I run a 275/18 and never looked into the 315s. They hook a lot better than the sumitomo's. Granted I have full suspension, I hook at 40mph on the street going WOT immediately (have enough power that I would spin the sumitomos at 50-55mph. I barely spin just a tad at 30-35mph.. Anything under that and it gets pretty bad of course. Id you did get a 315 they of course would hook even better than mine being more wide.

i was doing some more digging around, and i was instead looking at the kumho ecsta spt...they seem to have some good reviews. i guess i truly won't know until i pick up either set either way....i currently have some goodyear eagle GS-C EMT's on the rear, and they're pretty much at the end of their life, and i don't feel like spending that kind of money again, so i hope these cheaper tires will be adequate.

I have the II and I like them for what I use them for. The IIs have a better looking tread pattern than the IIIs IMO.

I'm running the 315's on the rear and they hooks great on a hot day, but for cold days like we're facing now in the winter. I don't have a 1st or 2nd after 4k. Overall Great bang for the buck.

Good looking tire, cheap and last long. I brake stalled my car to 1000 rpm and it just lit em up....

So now I have a A4 Camaro that is no longer good from a dig...lol

The III's perform well in the curves and grip moderately well in a straight line.

Anyone saying they have them in a 315 is thinking of a different model, so just disregard those comments.

I would easily say they are the best handling/gripping "cheap" tires around.
