safe to run stock studs with skinnies
I just got some weld draglites and they came with the long shank lugs. I've been having a hard time getting them balanced and everytime they take the wheels on and off one or two of the stock studs get stripped. I'm in the process of putting in new studs that are stock length. Will these be safe to run on a daily driver with the longer shank style closed end lugs that came with the wheels? They do go inside the wheel pretty far. I'm mainly talking about the front with spacers. I think the backs will be fine once I replace them.

Okay I went ahead and got the longer studs for the fronts. They are 2.16 or 55 mm long. There is threads all the way to the end of the studs so I'm getting about 3/4 of a inch more meat than with the stock studs. Do you think that will work okay. I have the closed end chrome 12 x 1.50 shank style lugnuts. I measured them and there is plenty of room left before they bottom out.
