Default are nittos worth the extra $

so i got new wheels from oe wheels(thanks guys)
c6 z06 dd 18X10.5 all four

now i already know im going to run a nitto 335 dr on the rear and a 295 on the front but if i should buy gsd3 for the front for 150 each or nittos nto5 for 220 each
that a extra 150$ for the nto5 and is the traction going to be Superior enough to make it worth it?

im going to be putting coilovers and sway bars on the car soon too and then when summer comes around their is going to be a alot of canyon driving

what are your guy experience with both these tires? and is it worth it to get the nto5?

(on a side note i guess its kinda dumb to worry about 150$ on tires when im going to spend a ton of money on suspension parts)

335 is way to big for 10.5" rim. Nitto recommends a 12" wheel for thier 335 width, but 11.5 is acceptable. Largest width for a 10.5" rim is a 315.

Not smart at all.

Since your talking about putting a larger tire on a wheel than is supported, we can see this in the threads future.

I've measured a nitto 335.30.18 mounted on a 18x 12" wheel and it came out to 335mm. So...I don't get the "nitto runs small" jiber jabber

the Nitto running skinny only applies to their 17 inch tires, and even then its not by much. the GS D3s are one of the best street tires on the market, you will be fine with those. run the 335s at your own risk. my friend has 305/40/18 Nitto 555Rs on his 10 inch wheel, and those are bulging

I HATE when tires dont match front and rear..Thats why I love Nittos..I can get a DR and a street tire for the front that has the same tread..It looks dumb(and cheap) when people have two different kinds of tires on their car...

BFG is about the only other Tire company that has a matching DR to a street tire..

I love my nittos..Thats about what everyone around here runs unless they are a broke ***..

im sure if you gave him the extra 100 per tire he wouldnt mind running the nittos up front too.
