If you adjust the tire size via your tuner/HP tuners etc. your speedo won't be off. You will not, however, have working ABS or traction control. Your ABS Inop, Brake, and TCS OFF light will be on (if you have traction control) from the rear tires being bigger and throwing off the ABS sensors (moving at different speeds).

I recently added 28" tires in the rear and still have the stock size in the front. It does mess up your brakes. I heard that you have to add a valve to you brake lines so that you can adjust the front/rear bias. I have not done this yet but it's not my daily driver.

I tried to stop quickly for a stop light and it didn't stop very well at all.

It's just the speed sensor detecting different size wheels that throws off your ABS.

If you do this i would recommend pulling the abs fuse so you dont have abs trying to fight you on stops. Keep in mind you wont have any abs operation but it will be better then it pushing the pedal back at you under hard stops, just remember not to slam on the brakes as hard as you can cause you will get wheel lock up..

It does not affect your braking, 70% of your braking power comes from the front wheels. If you're braking on skinnies obviously you'll have a problem, otherwise, you need a better tire up front.

How does it not effect your braking?? The abs system sees the front wheels are spinning at a faster rate then the rear and will pulse the internal abs valves until they are at the same speed which you will feel in the pedal effecting you braking power. I understand approx 80% of the vehicle's braking is in the front, but its hard to apply that pedal pressure to get that 80% when abs is pushing the brake back at your foot.
