Default M&h 325-45-17

I've been searching the net but cant really come up with a solid answer. I've read of guys putting these tires on a 17x9 rim due to the M&H's running so narrow. That confused me because I didnt think they'd fit. And if somehow they do actually fit on a 17x9 rim, is there any modification needed to put them on an 01 Z28 with stock ride height. Please dont flame me for asking, Im just confused because of reading that people acually are putting them on 17x9 rims, after my initial thought that they wouldnt fit. The reason Im asking is because I came accross a set locally very cheap and almost brand new, I've never delt with a tire this big though.

You should buy my ZR1s. Nearly new Z-rated Fuzions on 9.5s and 325/45/17s on 11s in back. M&Hs have plenty of good tread. Hooked awesome. 1.502 60 foot last fall. PM for price.

I had them on my 17x9.5's and they worked great. Although I hated how they looked. They were narrower than my 275/40's up front.

Rumor is M&H retooled their machine and now the 325/45's are a true 325. Don't know if this is true or not, but if it is I wouldn't try putting a new M&H on a 17x9.

I heard they did "widen" the tire. Mine are the earlier version. 10.4 inch tread, IIRC. They do look a bit goofy, but they hook great. That's more important to me than looks.

They are bad *** tires. I have them on 17x9 speedlines. Mine are a few months old and fit the wheel fine. You will have to do some cutting and pounding to get them to clear. Not nearly as much as a 28" MT et street

Like everyone said, they fit a 9" rim just fine. No bulge, they are pretty narrow.

FWIW, I have a set here for sale with about 60% or better tread left. $180 picked up, or I can ship to you. These do hook awesome, I just don't need them anymore. Went back to a 15" rim.

Thanks for the reply's. I probably will stay away from them if it requires cutting, pounding, or messing with the fenders. I just came across a pretty much brand new set for cheap locally so was trying to figure out if it'd be worth it or not.

Zach, I didn't touch my fenders to get these to fit. Still have the bumpstops on, too.
