Which 275/40/17 hooks better on the street?
I can get the BFG drag radial for $140 each, but the M/T are $210. I've heard M/T is better, but is it worth this much more money per tire? These will go on a set of rims for racing use only, so longevity isn't really a concern.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Chris

On the street I ran BFG DRs. They were fantastic. I rarely even burned out mostly cleaned them off ans squashed 99% of people from a dig.
The times I did do a burnout on the street, it eats tread life away and they hook at 100% throttle off the line just like my Hoosiers hook on the track. Unfortunatly I could never get them to hook at all on the track, only the street.
Something else to consider is i got about 3000 miles out of the BFG. M/T is a softer tire and will wear quicker.
Some people may have gotten more miles out of them, but, i actually used mine and raced on them heavily.
LMK if you got any more questions
