Default 17x11 w/275/40/17?

Read the stickies but wanted to make sure I was understanding. A 17x11 with a 275 fits a f-body(Camaro) with no mod, but anthting bigger on rear may need mods to fit?

Im not sure, but wouldnt those size tires be to small for a 17x11 wheel?? I dont think ive seen anyone running a 275 on a x11 wide wheel.

i wouldnt be putting a 275 on a 17x11 to begin with ! your stretching the tire to much go with a 315..... not to much will need to be done

I was looking at this recently, it can be done, but most look goofy. Only one I saw on here was a 275 MT radial on a 17x11 ZR1 and it looked ok - looked like a 315 Nitto DR does on a 17x11. It's gonna depend on the section width and overall width of the 275 tire you're using.

Going to look at set of ZR1s. Seller listed them as 17x11 275/40/17 M/T ET Streets. Seen picks of them mounted. Will they work till I get larger tires?

M/T website says 275/40/17 ET Streets fit 9-11 in rim. Will this look funny? Anyone with good pics?

Get the MT 295x40x17 and put it on instead of the 275.

For the time being it'll be fine. You'll also figure out if you're good with a 26" tire (for a 315/35) or need to step up to something taller like the 295/45 that was suggested.

Good News. Should have them Thursday. I'll take pics. Seems no one has one of this combo. Thanks for advice guys. Haven't run car on track yet due to worn tires end of season last year. Can't wait for it to warm up!!!

Like I said, it's been done before. You just have to go back far enough in a search to before MT released the 315s

Just don't leave it that way or you'll have to do the rusty hood mod too

Google rusty hood vs stretched tires, it's a ricer thing they get the widest wheel they can and then put the narrowest tire they can on the wide wheel. Another new trend for them is to strip the paint of thier hoods and let them rust.

HA HA. Was looking for a faux cabron fiber hood with the one rust colored off centered race stripe. Then a purge with a strobe and lots of neon! Still looking for the bolt on that makes every thing blurry when I hit the nitrous! If you must ask!!
