That's going to suck a little cause 6speed and stock 10 bolt? Don't really go together specially with slicks.. I have a built auto and built rear end and I'm going to go with a 325/50/15 mt drs lol I know that's too much tire but I want it also for the looks lol ill post a thread right now asking some questions about it

Here are the tires you need for the front if you're using them on the street, Mickey Thompson Sportsmans.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTT-1573/
There's a lighter and cheaper version, but they're for cars weighing under 3000 lbs. Using a generic 165/80/15 radial is not reccomended as they are for very light, slow cars. And using a drag front (ET Front, Moroso DS2, etc) is not a good idea for the bumps and lateral loads you'll see on the street.

I run nexen sb802's 165r tire on the front of my 15x3.75. They work very nice and you can barely notice that you're driving on skinny's. For the rear I run 275/50/15 m/t's, great tire with plenty of traction as well.

I would buy a rearend first..4:10s in the 10 bolt isnt a good combo anyway and then add a Slick or Good Sticky Radial, its done..

If you're sticking with your 7.5 10 bolt, I'd keep a slick on the car, and stay away from a radial.

LOL Sorry guys i forgot to mention the stock ten bolt took a **** on me after 3 months when the car had 9,000 Miles on it. So i coughed up the cash for the new Moser 12-bolt i bought over 2 years ago still going strong. 4:10's, 33-Spline, Eaton Locker, C-Clip Eliminators, 9" Housing Ends, Moser Girdle, BMR Poly/Rod Adj Control Arms, BMR Adj Poly/Rod Panhard Rod, BMR Adj Torque Arm, BMR Torque Arm Relocation Bracket. I plan on my rear-end taking a **** on me it's the tranny i worry about mostly...

Everyone said buy radials up front then two sets of tires for the rear, a Bias Ply for when i'm gonna race, an a drag radial to drive on everyday. So whats the best front an rear design staring with driveability, then the best street drag tire.

Yeah me to lol 325/50/15's are sexy with some massaging in the inner fender's and no bump stops. Which if your running the 17x11 Zr-1 then your already in business. M/T's never did me wrong, but i remeber a couple hard rains an they weren't any fun... Almost cost me my car into to many things lol Can't say i don't miss the way it hooked on the Eibach Drag Launch Springs holy **** was it hard as hell an nasty... Not to mention they are recommended for the Lt1 cars, but they are the same geometry suspension front an back.

When my drag wheels show up I plan to go with a Mickey Thompson ET Street. I do plan to drive it a bit. Still Bias Ply but not as washy and crap at higher speeds. But if they dont do the job then an ET Drag will be on the way! To me its the best of both worlds..

Six speed cars tend to like bias ply tires (ET Streets, ET Drags) over a radial design (ET Street Radial & Radial II) due to the stiffer sidewall of the radial tire. The softer sidewall of the bias-ply tire tends to take to the shock of a six speed launch better than a Radial.

So basicly it's a softer launch on my suspension an driveline? Thats what i herd in a few threads that bias ply was the nuts for six speed boys, but i'd rather run the DOT Radial because it's a DD an i'd rather not get caught in the rain with a bias... lol

My 275/40/17's lasted a decent amount of time and i was super rough in those ****** in all weather except snow of course. Nothing hooks like M/T's, but race master is looking pretty nice as well guys.

I wouldn't drive a slick or radial in the rain. My brother totaled his mustang going 30mph in the rain on 275 Radials.

lol me to went backwards an almost off of a 40 foot drop into the river... I don't really care about the rain to be honest there are ways around the rain going to work. So i'm still looking for the best tire out back an front.

Nitto drag radials are just fine for driving in the rain; I've gone on the highway at 80 mph and through deep puddles with them with no issues.

I run the 165/80/15 on the front and a 275/50/15 et street radial on a 15X10 out back. They hook ok, the car was a tenth or two faster with the bias ply, but it's a mph or two faster with the radial. Personally I'm going back to a bias ply with my new setup, either way your screwed in the rain, although the radials last a lot longer and are way better on the street when it's dry. But that's why I have street tires. Haven't had any problems with the fronts. I have run nittos before and they are more street friendly and do well in the rain but they don't hook for ****. Here's a couple of pics:

buy an extra set of wheels for just drag tires, bias ply or radial whatever you want. The money spent on wheels will save you a lot in the long run, Dont risk it, Radials in the rain are scary. Iv done it twice and that was the last time!! Scary..even with good tread!

Yeah, I have a pair of spare 16x8 wheels in the garage with drag radials on them; they match the other 4 wheels that I use every day.
