I just got them put on my car and i dont care much for the way they look they almost like all terrain truck tires, and they spin alot easier than the proxes 4's that i had on prior to these, oh well though, they were alot cheaper than anything else i could find.

I cant believe they spin. I had them when I first got my car 2 years ago and they had about half tread life on them. Its my first LS1 vehicle, im 25 and have hot rodded since 15, my last car was a '79 Z28, built 4spd muncie, 3:73's, 284 dur cam with 490 lift, built double hump heads, all the basic goodies for a strong street rod and best I ever ran was 13.60's@102mph. Well I took my '01 WS6 to the track with 104k miles, stock everything except I installed SLP lid, hooker muffler, msd plug wires and I ran 13.18@104mph 1.9 60ft....it freaked me out and others at the track too. Its a 6spd car and with the fuzions I went around the water box and still took off at 2,500RPM and just chattered till 4,500 then went!...Then I was hyped up on the LS1 addiction and after reading all about them, it ends up I have the LS6 block and intake, so I then installed LT headers, deleted CATS, had my 6spd buillt up and installed pro 5.0 shifter, LS7 clutch..(those mods were unbelievable with performance), descreened MAF,bypassed TB coolant, took AIR system off, and was all hyped up to run fast. I did all the mods the first winter I had it sittin in garage and also had used hankook tires on rear. Well I went to the track and didnt even think the tires were any better/worse than the fuzions I had, I just thought it spun really bad after the mods. Best run was 13.08@109mph with a 2.4 60ft. Only .1 tenth faster but gained 5mph and spun almost through 3rd gear even when taking off at idle! I knew I had a ton more power, but I knew it was all a traction issue ovbiously. So after talking to quite a few LS1 owners I found out that the fuzions ZRi and nitto555 are the best tires for off the line grip you can get unless you go to drag radials. So I borrowed a pair of BFG drag radials and pulled a 1.86 60ft taking off at 2,000 and ran 12.49@112mph, I was sooo happy that the mods really did work, but then took the chance of going with the fuzions again and went to the track and also ran an identical time almost even taking off at 2,500, it wheel hopped hard and grabbed right before I shifted to 2nd everytime, but not once did they spin....I still have yet to have it tuned which most people cant believe or they think its been tuned already or sumthing, but with all I have right now its very much stock looking under the hood, except the headers and air lid, stock suspension and all. The shifter makes a huge difference, the pro 5.0 is a world of difference to the stock hurst short throw, hits all gears everytime and I run 12.49's-12.70's all nite long with the Fuzions...sorry for the book I wrote but I just wanted to add everything, because they are very very sticky tires from my experience, even in 50 degrees when I hit a hole patched with rock goin 60mph on the roads it flings rocks up in the fenders like crazy only on the fuzions!

I agree there sticky tires but that also means they pick up nails, screws. I had plugs and patches in all 4 tires.

they dont make the fuzior zri tires anymore, they call them the primewell pz9000 or somorething now. we were able to pick up a set for my girlfriends t/a for $60 a tire

lol not sure how you paid $700 for yours but they are probably one of the best tires without being a drag radial

i wish i could have found a set for 60 a piece, and they must still make them because i have a set of 245/50/16 Fuzion ZRi's on my car right now, they were 174.75 a piece mounted and balanced, im going to the track April 17th so i will see how they do as compared to my Proxes 4's that i had, i know i found them on the internet for about $101.00 a piece but i figured by the time i paid freight, paid to have the old tires dismounted, and the new ones mounted and balance i might as well just go to Commercial Tire and save myself the hassle.

I'm running the fuzion zri as replacements for proxes 4 which were replacements for firestone sz50ep's.

The fuzions are decent but I found they lost grip fairly quickly. They still have plenty of tread life but the performance level dropped off a cliff for me.

In comparison to the proxes 4 I didn't experience a drastic difference. The firestone sz50ep's being the better of the three.

My next set of tires are going to be max performance which are pricey but worth the jump from ultra high performance tires.

I don't like mine. Granted the 11 year old suspension probably doesn't do much for the ride quality (VERY harsh, in my opinion). They were already on my car when I bought. I wouldn't spend my money for a set of them. :2cents:

Why didn't ask this question before you purchased the tires?

That's my impression of them as well. The only other set of ZR tires I've had experience with is Goodyear Eagle F1's. Those clearly were at the opposite end of the spectrum (shitty wear but GREAT grip).

I thought they were decent. I had some on my 89' IROC. They look hideous on the car though.

Yep, 700.00 and that was the cheapest tire in my particular size that i could find anywhere in Twin Falls ID, i really am regretting getting these tires, they look like hell they are loud and rough and dont grip worth a crap, im hoping once it warms up they will perform a little better, it could just be because its 40 degrees here right now.

Yup.

I drove around on mine when it was in the 80's and 90's and didn't think much of them when they were warm either.
