Default What tire for ss?

Anyone have firsthand experience with Yokahama S drive tires? I'm looking to replace my stock size tires with same size. My needs are summer high performance, quiet, good handling (rain not important, really) decent milage expectations and reasonably priced. I know, not much to ask, lol! Michelin Sport are quite expensive, but good I've heard. Not a fan of BF Goodrich or bridgestone (poor milage expectation?), BUT any advice would be appreciated , THANKS!

go to caranddriver.com and in the search click tires. They rated them 6th out of 10 saying they were a decent tire but nothing exceptional, the top rating in that test was the dunlop starspec.

Thanks for the responses, especially the C&D link, bayz28 and ROCNDAV!!! I remember reading this article (2005) after seeing it again. How relevant is this comparo 5 years on? Are the GS3' s still the best bet, in your opinion? NOT FLAMING, just asking! Thanks again, guys!

Nitto 555r's out back and 555's up front...you wont be dissapointed on the street or at the track...theyre resonably priced too.
