Default Whats the hardest hooking tire for the street?

Hey guys i just bought draglights 15x3, 15x10 an i already posted up some pics on them on my car, but the hoosiers on there are done... So i'm trying to figure out which is gonna be the best tires to run front an rear. The car is daily driven on ss ten spoke rims an then on the weekend warrior schedule it is put on these wheels now. I just ordered longer studs an new sst mag open ended studs for it so it'll pass tech an it will handle hard launches. I want atleast a 28inch tire because i feel i will have a better traction advantage and i have 4:10's in the 12-bolt so i want a taller tire so i don't run out of gear at the top of fourth. I've herd that a bias ply is better for M6 cars an a radial is better on auto's, but i would rather run a radial because they way they handle.

Is this a 6 speed or auto car? If 6 speed, I'd suggest the hoosier drag radials due to their softer sidewall than the MT radial.

The Hoosier drag radials are a lot lighter than the Mickeys. If these are for track only then I would get those. Make sure you're never going to get caught in the rain though, they will not work on wet pavement at all.
How high do you plan to trap? Unless you're trapping really high you shouldn't run out of gear with a 26" tire and a T56. Using a tire that's taller than you need will slow you down. 28" tires do look bas *** though.

I run these in a 315 for my street tire/wheels. They work pretty well... at least rolling into it. Off the line I dont think theres anything that would work perfect for me on the street.

I liked my Nitto NT555RII's, because they hooked great on the street, and also performed very well in the rain compared to other radials. The wet traction is defiantly the big advantage IMO.

I really like my M&H 275/60/16 on stock z28 rims. I've gotten high 1.5s on them running low 11's (11.12 best) camonly/m6. And I drive on them 24/7 all summer. Lots of rain even and there fine (with tread) There getting bald and bought a set of the mT DR 285/60/16 I think. There about 14 pounds heaiver (33>26) I havn't mounted them yet. But the M&H are really good. Any speed moving as slow as you can. (right after clutch out), in 1st going WOT they hook in my car, not a cold day and in the sun. Will spin thu 2nd if a powershift and hit them hard on a 1-2. But really impressed with them.
